How to Measure

How to Measure Your Bra Size at Home

Getting your measurements right means better fit, more comfort, and more confidence. Follow these simple steps at home using a soft measuring tape. You can also use our free bra size calculator to get your size instantly.

What You Need

  • A soft measuring tape (fabric or flexible)
  • A well-fitting, non-padded bra (for bra measurements)
  • A mirror to help check positioning

How to Measure Your Bra Size - Step by Step

Step 1 - Measure Your Band Size (Under-bust)

Wrap the measuring tape snugly around your ribcage, directly under your bust. Keep the tape parallel to the floor. Round to the nearest even number. This is your band size (e.g. 32, 34, 36).

Step 2 - Measure Your Bust

Wrap the tape loosely around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it parallel to the floor. Do not pull too tight - the tape should just skim the surface.

Step 3 - Calculate Your Cup Size

Subtract your band measurement from your bust measurement. The difference determines your cup size:

Difference Cup Size
Less than 1" AA
1" A
2" B
3" C
4" D
5" DD / E

Example: Band = 34", Bust = 37" - Difference = 3" - Cup = C - Bra size = 34C

How to Measure Your Waist

Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, usually just above your belly button. Keep the tape snug but not tight. Breathe normally - do not hold your breath. This measurement is used for panties, shapewear, and nightwear sizing.

How to Measure Your Hips

Stand with your feet together. Measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom, usually about 8-9 inches below your waist. Keep the tape parallel to the floor. Used for panties, shapewear, loungewear, and co-ords sizing.

How to Measure Your Bust (for Tops, Nightwear and Loungewear)

Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape parallel to the floor and your arms relaxed at your sides. This is your bust measurement for tops, nightwear, and loungewear - separate from your bra cup measurement.

Tips for Accurate Measurements

  • Always measure over bare skin or thin, form-fitting clothing
  • Keep the tape parallel to the floor at all times
  • Do not pull the tape too tight or leave it too loose
  • Take measurements twice to confirm accuracy
  • If you are between sizes, size up for comfort
  • Measure at the same time of day for consistency

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I measure my bra size at home in Pakistan?

Use a soft measuring tape. Measure your band (underbust, round to nearest even number), then your bust (fullest part). Subtract band from bust to get your cup size: 1" = A, 2" = B, 3" = C, 4" = D. Or use our free bra size calculator for instant results.

What if I am between bra sizes?

Size up for comfort. You can also try sister sizing - if 34C feels too tight in the band, try 36B which has the same cup volume with a larger band. See our bra size chart for the full sister size guide.

How do I measure my waist and hips for lingerie sizing?

Waist: measure around the narrowest part, just above your belly button. Hips: measure around the fullest part, about 8-9 inches below your waist. These are used for panties, shapewear, nightwear, and loungewear sizing.
